Pitt Meadows

OUR HOME.

OUR FUTURE.

Meet Nicole MacDonald

I have been honoured to serve as a Councillor for the City of Pitt Meadows for the past four years. I am the mother of two wonderful daughters and am grateful for the support of my husband Garett. We are proud to call Pitt Meadows home.In 2012, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University. I then opened and operated a Notary practice in Pitt Meadows, providing the community with professional and compassionate legal services.Prior to becoming a Notary Public, I was a Police Officer with the Vancouver Police Department.
My time on Council has reinforced the importance of Public Safety. A safe City is the foundation of community wellness, livability, and a healthy business economy. As Councillor, I represented the City on numerous committees: Police Liaison, Agricultural Advisory, Economic Development Advisory, YPK Airport Board of Directors, 911 EComm Board of Directors and Metro Vancouver Indigenous Relations Committee.
Pitt Meadows is truly unique; we are bordered by mountains, rivers, and comprised of 80% agricultural lands. We have a regional airport, a federal rail infrastructure, a large industrial component, multiple golf courses, and extensive dyke infrastructure. We have a vibrant residential community with deep roots, alongside a growing population of new families and seniors, all united with their love of Pitt Meadows. Our City must have smart balanced growth, and sustainable infrastructure. Transportation, flood protection and recreation are paramount. Progress will be influenced by having healthy relationships with other levels of government, neighbouring communities, Katzie First Nation and agencies such as Metro Vancouver and Translink.

As your Mayor, I pledge to work for the community of today and for the future.
